On October 4th, global climate talks continue in China. Since the
Copenhagen summit, negotiations have been on the brink of collapse.
Now, several European nations are leading a push for an accounting
trick that would let rich countries cut down as many trees as they
wanted -- without having to report the increased climate damage.
European Environment ministers can stop this and put the talks back on
track, but without public pressure there's little chance they will do
the right thing.
